Argus asked whether an alternative route to machine intelligence could become a real working capability while its surrounding research operation remained inspectable, recoverable and accountable.

How the work unfolded
Nammu made the first Argus programme organised and reviewable. It preserved successful and failed outcomes, corrections and historical conditions while keeping responsible oversight separate from the capability being studied.
Argus delivered a complete first generation that could observe, retain, grow and carry findings into later reasoning activity. Its progress and defects remained open to inspection.
Repeated challenges overturned attractive explanations and exposed reporting and execution defects. Nammu retained the correction record while Argus remained the owner of the model capability.
A long run demonstrated sustained activity and successful recovery but also revealed a severe later slowdown. A later review withdrew the scientific interpretation attached to an early positive result while preserving the working achievement.
